Challenge
We originally engaged Merapar in 2019 for their Serverless AWS experience to bootstrap new projects within our newly founded Innovation and AI department. As we started to grow the organisation and expand our teams, we increasingly relied on, and copied Merapar’s approach to team growth and Agile development. Our challenge was to fully ingrain this mindset and methodologies within our team, for longevity and ongoing success.
Success
With the teams, Merapar ACE Scrum masters worked to promote product ownership and team empowerment, while focussing on an ethos of transparency. Across the wider group, Andy and his team coached at every level, from the teams, to senior leadership, and never held back when calling out impediments or difficulties that needed to be solved.
Results
Merapar’s Agile Centre of Excellence (ACE) brought immediate benefits. It helped to define how we organised our engineering teams, and shaped how we engaged with the wider organisation.The focus on full team training, including stakeholders and key people from outside, accelerated our agile transformation and made us stand out as a high performance group. At all points, I have always felt that they were truly invested with us, and worked tirelessly for positive outcomes. As we grew, they took on bigger and bigger challenges, and their honesty and pragmatism was always welcome.
